Actor finds a new "Virtuality"

Oneal Forced To Turn In Sheriffs Badge Over Vulgar Rap

Basketball star-turned-rapper and actor SHAQUILLE O'NEAL has been told to turn in his sheriff's badge for using vulgar language during a much-publicised night out in New York.

The Phoenix Suns star poked fun at former teammate Kobe Bryant during a freestyle rap onstage at a New York club on Sunday night (22Jun08).

Footage from his impromptu performance was leaked onto the Internet, and now the volunteer police officer has been reprimanded by officials.

O'Neal has since apologised for his rap attack, during which he blamed Bryant for his own marital problems and chuckled, "Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes."

But police officials are unhappy with his 'off-duty' actions, and they've asked the sports star to give up his badge.

Though many of salsa and Latin nothingness music's most successful bandleaders have been congueros and percussionists, the bulk fell from public notice when the salsa grocery store waned in the mid to former '80s. Pedro Conga, however, experienced the very height of his success at a time when other salseros were packing material up and loss home. His landmark album, No Te Quites la Ropa, hit number two on Billboard's Tropical Salsa charts in 1989, well subsequently the U.S. salsa boom of the '70s had subsided. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, Conga got his begin support up the vocalist Justo Betancourt, with whom he had performed passim Latin America and Europe. Through his association with Betancourt, Conga earned musca volitans in the bands of salsa luminaries like Tito Rojas, Anthony Cruz, and Maelo Ruiz, among others. Pedro Conga y Su Orquesta Internacional were introduced to the salsa-listening world with their self-titled debut platter in 1972. Oscar winner is cast as a stripper

Oscar winner Marisa Tomei is to play a stripper in the new film from 'Requiem for a Dream' director Darren Aronofsky.
Variety reports that 'The Wrestler' tells the story of an over-the-hill star of the squared circle (Mickey Rourke) who leaves the business after a heart attack.
He then moves in with a stripper and tries to forge a relationship with her son.
The film is currently shooting in New York and New Jersey.

Indiana Jones Rakes In $300m In Opening Weekend

The fourth ‘Indiana Jones’ film has more than recouped its opulent budget in its opening weekend, after it raked in $US311 million in global box office sales through the US Memorial Day long weekend, according to Paramount Pictures. Movie-goers overwhelmed cinema multiplexes to see Harrison Ford reprise his title role in ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’. Paramount Pictures estimates that the action sequel made $US151.1 million in the US and Canada from Thursday to Monday, and $US160 million around the rest of the world from Thursday to Sunday. It marked the second biggest Memorial Day weekend opening ever, behind only ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End’, which made $US153 million domestically from Thursday to Monday last year. According to Rob Moore, president of Paramount Worldwide Distribution, nearly a third of the domestic audience was made up of parents with their children. "Adults really drove this opening,” Moore said. “This is one of their favorite franchises and they couldn't wait to take their kids with them." The film cost a reported $US185 million to make, even with the principal talent - Ford, director Steven Spielberg and writer George Lucas - deferring their usual fees for a greater share of the profits.
